DID YOU KNOW THAT....
Finance Manila's
Historical Data has its sectoral averages (pse-d, ci-d, etc.) in value turnover (in terms
of pesos) instead of volume turnover (number of shares traded)? This is often neglected
because what we really want to see in the sectoral is the volume in terms of pesos.
The value is rounded of to the nearest thousands because certain chart programs could not
handle multiple zeroes. The other regular shares have theirs in volume
turnover.

INSTRUCTIONS / WHAT'S NEW/REVISIONS:
QUICK NOTE: THE FILES HERE ARE Y2K COMPLIANT,
COMPATIBLE ONLY WITH METASTOCK 6.52 AND ABOVE.
1.For those of you who have been updating from this site the 6 zip files the past year,
the 6 files i have been uploading will never be uploaded again. Instead, please
click on the new blue url for just one 2.5mb zip file.
2.So what's the difference?
a)You now download only one (regrettably bigger) file.
b)Erase all previous F#.dat & F#.dop (from previous year's downloads) files and
replace them all ( and I mean all or you'll have problems) with this new
unzipped file.
c)New file really now has reliable open data.
d)New file is Y2K compliant.
3.With this new data from the mid 50's upto the last present update, you can now choose to keep on coming back here to click on stock.zip (to be updated at least weekly). Or, you mayuse the daily short text format located somewhere within this page. Downloading any such files would be useless unless you can append (attach) these files to your present files using the DOWNLOADER program which you may download from equis.com.
4.Subscription is now available since June of 2003. For 2,500 pesos annually, subscribers will have the convenience of the text file emailed to them daily, plus access to my historical data.
5. On the sources: The subscription you pay goes to the pocket of our office secretary, who inputs the data by hand daily. Any profit is still far from fruition, as we concentrate on getting the data through, daily. After all, how many 2,500's can you piece together? There aren't that many subscribers willing to pay for data. Our data is not simply downloaded from other sites and reconverted to suit our raw data needs. I repeat, this is inputed manually by our secretary, and checked daily by me, and re-verified by our subscribers who are quick to point occassional errors.
